The Marines do have a softer side, but they save it for special people

U.S. Marine Corps drill instructor Keven Porter has a hectic work schedule, and like most military troops, doesn't get as much family time with his 4-year-old daughter as he woud like.

His wife, Lizette Porter, decided to facilitate some.

She arranged a surprise photo shoot for Porter and their daughter, Ashley, where the two of them would participate in a tea party.

"My husband had no idea what was going to happen until we showed up to the shoot," his wife told Philadelphia's WPVI. "He was hesitant at first, but after a little talking, I was able to convince him. He would do anything for Ashley."

Despite some early trepidation, the shoot turned out lovely, and was an experience to be remembered.

"I got emotional watching them just be themselves and see how much she loves her daddy," Lizette said.
