1 dead, 2 injured in military helicopter crash

A UH-60 Blackhawk based out of Fort Belvoir crashed on a Maryland golf course Monday afternoon

An emergency broadcasting service reported one fatality from the UH-60 Blackhawk helicopter crash Reuters reported, as well as critical injuries for two other people.

Three crew members were aboard a military helicopter that crash landed on a Maryland golf course Monday afternoon.

The UH-60 Blackhawk took off from Fort Belvoir and made a hard landing on the Breton Bay Golf Course.

One person was reportedly airlifted to a local hospital, according to a local NBC affiliate station.

A golf course employee said he observed the helicopter “flying kind of low” and then “saw it spinning” before it crashed.
